MONARCHS NOTES: ÆÃ¡ The Monarchs are on a three-game losing streak. ÆÃ¡ Sacramento scored 15 points off of Seattle¡¦s 19 turnovers. ÆÃ¡ Monarchs shot a season-low .322 19-of-59 from the field. ÆÃ¡ Sacramento had a season-low 20 rebounds for the game. ÆÃ¡ The Monarchs went on a 12-2 run with 4:03 left in the third quarter to cut the Storm¡¦s lead down to 18 points. ÆÃ¡ Crystal Kelly scored a team-high 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting. ÆÃ¡ Nicole Powell had 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
STORM NOTES: ÆÃ¡ The Storm ended a five-game losing streak against the Monarchs in Sacramento (last win: 7/15/04, 63-66). ÆÃ¡ Seattle shot .544 from the field and a season-high .615 from three-point range for 8-of-13. ÆÃ¡ The Storm¡¦s biggest lead of the game was 28 points. ÆÃ¡ Seattle outscored Sacramento 38-28 in points in the paint. ÆÃ¡ The Storm opened the second half with a 17-3 run. ÆÃ¡ Lauren Jackson had a game-high 17 points and nine rebounds. ÆÃ¡ Sue Bird recorded 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out nine assists to go along with two steals. ÆÃ¡ Tanisha Wright committed four fouls in the fourth quarter including her sixth with 30.9 seconds left.
