Evansville broke the game open in the third with six runs, highlighted by another RBI single by Coker and a double by Steve Martin as the team sent 10 men to the plate, taking a 9-1 lead. The two teams traded a pair of runs in the seventh inning to make the final 11-3.
Meanwhile, Andre Simpson (4-5) was outstanding in the contest, allowing just three hits over six innings, walking two and striking out a career high tying 12 in the contest. Dittfurth (2-6) lasted just two innings for Windy City, allowing four hits and walked five in giving up seven runs taking the loss.
