T-Birds Acquire Aschim from Moose Jaw

Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced this afternoon the team has acquired center Sean Aschim from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a conditional WHL Bantam draft pick.

Aschim has appeared in 13 games for the Warriors this season and has nine points on four goals and five assists with a plus/minus rating of plus-2 and four penalty minutes. Aschim will join the team in Medicine Hat for Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

Aschim has appeared in 60 WHL games over three seasons with the Warriors, Kelowna Rockets and Prince Albert Raiders. He has 13 points on six goals and seven assists in his career.

The T-Birds take on the Edmonton Oil Kings at Rexall Place at 6pm on Saturday evening in the second game of their six-game road trip through the Central Division.

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2011-12 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
