Syracuse Drops Toronto 6-3 at Ricoh Coliseum

The Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning, defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 6-3 tonight at Ricoh Coliseum.

Carter Ashton opened the scoring with the Marlies shorthanded at 14:24 of the first period. Andrew Crescenzi and Vladislav Namestnikov traded goals to start the middle frame, before Dana Tyrell tied the game at two with five seconds remaining in the period. The Crunch tallied three unanswered goals in a span of 3:33 to start the third period. Mike Duco notched his first goal as a Marlie before Vladislav Namestnikov sealed the victory for Syracuse, scoring his second goal of the game at 9:46.

The Toronto Marlies return to the ice tomorrow when they host the Utica Comets, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
