
Iowa Recalls Goalie John Curry from Orlando

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Friday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled goalie John Curry from the Orlando Solar Bears, Iowa's ECHL Affiliate.
In two separate stints with the Wild, Curry has posted a 2-1-0 record with a 1.96 GAA and a .939 save percentage. He returns from Orlando, where he was 10-2-0 over 13 appearances, while posting a 2.66 GAA and a .917 SV% with the Solar Bears. Over the course of his career, the seventh-year pro has made 181 appearances in the AHL for Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Houston and Iowa. Curry is 105-60-7 with a 2.55 GAA and a .906 SV% in his AHL career. He has also made an appearance in four NHL games (all Pittsburgh), going 2-2-0 with a 3.79 GAA and a .867 DV %.
The team will play six straight on the road prior to returning home on Jan. 15 to host Toronto at 7:05 p.m. Iowa will begin the road trip in Rockford on Friday at 7 p.m.
