Syracuse Crunch News Release
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have partnered with the Watertown Wolves for Watertown Community Night at the Crunch on Saturday, Nov. 14 when the team hosts the Utica Comets at 7 p.m.
The Watertown Wolves of the Federal Hockey League are the 2015 Commissioner's Cup Champions. The Wolves franchise was brought to Watertown in 2014 by Dr. Michael Wainberg, Cullen Lundy, Ron London, Darlene London, Stan Tibbles, Dr. Vincent Cesario and Jolie Cesario and was formed by an FHL expansion draft. In the franchise's inaugural year, the team went 38-13-3 in the regular season and claimed the FHL championship. The Wolves are currently on leave during the 2015-16 season and are set to return to the newly renovated Watertown Municipal Arena for the 2016-17 campaign.
Watertown Community Night at the Crunch will give Watertown Wolves fans the ability to catch up with the team during their season-long hiatus. Wolves owners, Wainberg, Lundy, R. London, D. London, Tibbles, V. Cesario and J. Cesario, along with goaltender Joe St. Pierre and mascot Blizzard the Wolf will accompany the Commissioner's Cup to the War Memorial Arena on Nov. 14. Fans will have the opportunity to meet St. Pierre and Blizzard and take their photo with the championship trophy.
The night will also serve as a fundraiser for the CNY Veteran's Outreach Center. Two dollars from each $16 Watertown Community Night ticket will be donated to the center.
