Syracuse Mets News Release
The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, return home Saturday for a six-game, four-day homestand. The Chiefs will play the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Pawtucket Red Sox - the Triple-A affiliates for the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox, respectively - during the homestand. Here's what's on deck for the first-place Chiefs...
Saturday, July 19th (5:00 P.M. doubleheader vs. Lehigh Valley): Wedding bells will be ringing as the Chiefs begin their homestand on Crowne Plaza Wedding Night. Bridgeport, NY residents Paul Stasko and Brittany Buck will be married as part of an unforgettable on-field, pre-game ceremony before the Chiefs' twin bill with the IronPigs. Stasko and Buck, finalists on Good Morning America's "Epic Wedding Showdown", will begin their ceremony at approximately 4:20.
In honor of the occasion, as well as Giveaway Saturday, the first 1,000 fans inside the gates will receive a tuxedo-design baseball courtesy of Crowne Plaza.
Sunday, July 20th (5:00 P.M. doubleheader vs. Lehigh Valley): The Chiefs' second consecutive twin bill comes complete with a delicious meal beforehand, with a Pig Roast catered by The Bull & Bear Catering Company. The first 200 fans to sign up will receive a buffet-style dinner featuring two whole pigs, a fire-grilled chicken and much more for $30. The cost of the dinner also includes a 200-level ticket for that night's doubleheader. Complimentary soda and water will be provided, and a cash bar will be made available for those fans over the age of 21. Fans can sign up through syracusechiefs.com, by calling 315-474-7833 or by visiting the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office.
As part of Family Sunday, presented by i9 Sports, all kids ages 12 and under will get into Sunday's doubleheader for free and can run the bases after the game's final out.
Monday, July 21st (7:00 P.M. versus Pawtucket): Businesses from Central New York will get a chance to connect with each other on CenterState CEO Night. Come out to the ballpark to see the best of local companies in the region.
Social Media Monday, sponsored by Blue Rock Energy, will feature a "Caption this Picture Contest" featuring a picture of Chiefs infielder Josh Johnson. The fan who comes up with the best caption for the picture will receive a "Bag of Swag" courtesy of Blue Rock Energy as well as a ticket to a future game. Participants can show their responses to our Fan Experience team in the Blue Rock Energy Fan Experience tent in front of the main gate and share them on social media before entering the stadium. Anyone who participates in the contest will receive a voucher for $5 off a Reserved or Box seat.
Tuesday, July 22nd (7:00 P.M. versus Pawtucket): The home stand wraps up with our first Stockholders' Day of the season. We invite all Chiefs stockholders out to the ballpark as a way to thank them for their support of the organization and their efforts.
Fans can also purchase two tickets for the price of one as part of our Two-for-Tuesday promotion.
