Durham, N.C. - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) pounded out 14 hits and limited the Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays) to just one run as they were victorious on Saturday night, 9-1. Chien-Ming Wang threw seven shutout innings to earn the win.

Wang (4-4) tossed his second consecutive scoreless start. He scattered six Durham hits, and issued just one walk with two strikeouts. Entering the game, Wang ranked third in the International League in earned run average. That mark may improve overnight, as Wang lowered his season ERA to 2.33.

The RailRiders faced out to an early lead in the first inning when Zoilo Almonte hit a solo home run with two outs to right-center field. It was Almonte's sixth homer of the season.

Another home run extended the SWB lead to 3-0 in the third. Thomas Neal led off the inning, and reached second base on a two-base throwing error by Durham starter Jake Odorizzi. Melky Mesa followed with a home run to left-center field, his sixth of the season.

Dan Johnson added to the RailRiders' cushion in the fifth. With one out, Mesa reached on an infield single, moved to third on a single by Almonte, and scored when Johnson singled him home.

Mesa added his third hit of the game in the sixth, and plated a run with the single. Alberto Gonzalez walked with one out, moved to third on a single by Neal, and then advanced home on Mesa's knock to right field. SWB led 5-0 after five and a half innings of play.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre put the game out of reach with four runs in the seventh. With one out, Ronnier Mustelier recorded his third hit of the ballgame with an infield single. After a base hit by Johnson and a walk by Josh Bell, the bases were loaded. Addison Maruszak then doubled to left field, narrowly missing a grand slam but driving home Mustelier and Johnson. With the infield in, Bobby Wilson capped the inning by singling up through the middle, driving home both Bell and Maruszak.

Five RailRider hitters recorded multi-hit games on Saturday night, with Mesa and Mustelier leading the way with three hits apiece.

Dellin Betances worked a scoreless eighth inning with two strikeouts, and Mark Montgomery worked the ninth frame.

Odorizzi (4-1) was handed his first International League loss as he worked four and two-thirds innings. He allowed four runs, three of them earned, on eight hits with five strikeouts.
