Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Norfolk Tides in the second game of a four-game series at Harbor Park (7:05 p.m.). The Herd won 6-3 last night in the series opener, snapping the club's four-game losing streak. Buffalo returns home to Coca-Cola Field for a four-game set with Lehigh Valley starting Tuesday.

vs. the Tides

The Bisons are 2-3 against the Tides this season. Norfolk won the Coca-Cola Field series, 3-1, back on May 6-9. Since 1998, the Herd has 74-47 record against the Tides, including a 39-22 record on the road. Buffalo has only lost two series in Norfolk over that span.

Ricky Romero

LHP RICKY ROMERO will make his fifth start of the season today. The veteran suffered his first defeat of the year on Monday in Durham, allowing eight runs in two-thirds of an inning of work. It was the first game he started that the Bisons lost this year. Romero has never faced the Norfolk Tides.

All Around Offense

Buffalo had six different hitters drive in a run in last night's victory. On the season, seven Bisons players have at least 24 RBI. The group is led by INF LUIS JIMENEZ, whose 47 RBI on the season are four more than any hitter in the International League. C JOSH THOLE leads the Herd with a .500 average (14-28) with runners in scoring position.

Roster Moves

RHP MICKEY STOREY has been recalled by the Blue Jays. The reliever is 0-1 with a 3.80 ERA in 13 appearances for the Herd. Storey has struck out 31 batters in 23.2 innings of work. Toronto also optioned RHP CHAD JENKINS to the Bisons. Jenkins was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in three starts with the Blue Jays. This will be his Triple-a debut.

Heating Up

OF MOISES SIERRA has hit in all five games this roadtrip. The outfielder has averaged .333 (6-18) since Monday with a home run, six RBI and five runs scored. Sierra has a .351 batting average and a .585 slugging percentage in 24 games on the road this season.

Bisons Debut

RHP JOEL CARRENO made his Bisons debut last night with 1.1 innings of shutout relief. He is already the 43rd different player to suite up for the Herd this season and the 27th different pitcher.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (23-32) lost to the Padres, 4-3, last night in a marathon game that needed 17 innings. Former Bisons RHP TODD REDMOND took the loss, allowing a run in 3.2 innings of relief. The Blue Jays look to rebound tonight at 10:10 p.m. in San Diego.
