Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced veteran forward Jordan Knackstedt has been traded to the Quad City Mallards in exchange for future considerations.

The move puts the Swamp Rabbits' roster back at four veterans, the maximum a team may carry at any one time under ECHL guidelines. Veterans on Greenville's current roster include Bretton Cameron, Rob Kwiet, Jack Combs and Garett Bembridge.

Knackstedt, 27, compiled 31 points (12g, 19a) and 45 penalty minutes in 45 games with the Swamp Rabbits this season. He signed with Greenville as a free agent on November 4 after playing 10 contests with Kaufbeuren ESV in the DEL-2 German league last season.

A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Knackstedt was originally selected in the seventh round (189th overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
