Elmira's McPherson Named CCM ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Elmira Jackals' forward Allan McPherson has been named the CCM ECHL?Player of the Month for February.

McPherson scored eight goals, added nine assists and was a +11 in 11 games during the month.

The 24-year-old tallied at least one point in eight of his 11 games including back-to-back four point games on Feb. 7 (3g-1a) at Manchester and on Feb. 9 (1g-3a) at Adirondack. He had three assists on Feb. 26 against Reading and picked up two points on Feb. 27 at Wheeling.

Under an American?Hockey League contract with the Rochester Americans, McPherson leads the Jackals with 18 goals and is second on the club with 39 points in 32 games this season. He has added one goal in 16 games with Rochester.

A native of Kinburn, Ontario, McPherson has recorded 62 points (26g-36a) in 56 career ECHL games with Elmira and he has 10 points (4g-6a) in 65 career AHL games with Abbotsford and Rochester.

Prior to turning pro, McPherson played four seasons at Clarkson University where he had 103 points (41g-62a) in 150 career games.
