Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, S.C. - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are excited to host the first annual Business Power Play event, presented by South State Bank. The event will be held on Thursday, March 10th at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
The Swamp Rabbits kicked off the 2015-2016 season with one of their primary goals being to further integrate the organization into the fabric of the community. Fostering strong relationships with Upstate businesses and serving as a catalyst for continued economic growth and development are key components to achieving this goal. Business Power Play is a night that will bring together the business community, highlighting the important role local professionals' play not only in economic development, but in the success of the Upstate.
Local businesses have provided tremendous support for the event by participating as "Puck Promoters." As a part of their participation in the event, businesses receive a block of lower level tickets for the game and recognition throughout the evening. The Swamp Rabbits currently have 27 companies participating in Business Power Play as Puck Promoters.
"We want to highlight and build partnerships with the business community, not just in Greenville but throughout the Upstate," said Chris Lewis, general manager of the Swamp Rabbits. "The sport of hockey provides a fun and exciting atmosphere for conducting business and networking. We set out to craft a way for local companies to come together, network, share ideas and potentially create their own partnerships in a fun and entertaining environment."
"We are excited to be the presenting sponsor for Business Power Play and look forward to growing our partnership with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits," said Mike Coggin, the Upstate regional president of South State Bank. "Business Power Play is a great way to celebrate the Greenville business community."
