Baker Returns to Mallards from Manitoba

MOLINE, Ill. - Defenseman Jake Baker has returned to the Quad City Mallards after being released from a professional tryout agreement by the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, the Mallards announced today.

Baker, 24, picked up an assist while making his AHL debut in the Moose's 7-2 win over the Charlotte Checkers last Saturday night after joining Manitoba earlier Saturday. He also played in yesterday's 2-1 Manitoba loss to the Checkers. Baker has scored two goals and added eight assists to total 10 points in 47 games with the Mallards this season.

Earlier today, goaltender P.J. Musico returned to the Mallards after being released from a P.T.O. by the AHL's Chicago Wolves while the Mallards released emergency backup goaltender Jake Reed.

The Mallards return to action on home ice Wednesday night against the Utah Grizzlies. All Mallards Wednesday night home games this season face off at the special early start time of 6:35 p.m.

The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $24.
