Svatos' miracle goal gives Bears 3-2 win at Wilkes-Barre

Marek Svatos scores with 1.8 seconds left in regulation to give the BEARS a 3-2 regulation win at Wilkes-Barre. HERSHEY is now within four points of the Penguins for the final playoff spot with eight games to play.

Wilkes-Barre opened the scoring with a goal from Matt Hussey at the 2:34 mark of the first period to give the Pens a 1-0 lead. HERSHEY answered right back with a goal at 2:42 from Marek Svatos to tie the game. The BEARS followed that up with a power play goal from Mathieu Darche at 7:21 to take a 2-1 lead into first intermission. Ryan VandenBussche scored the lone goal in the second period at the 8:27 period to tie the game after two periods.

The BEARS travel to Philadelphia Friday night to face the Phantoms. Face-off at the Wachovia Spectrum is at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY returns home to square off with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at GIANT Center Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for Saturday's game at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.
