
Aeros make pair of moves

HOUSTON, Texas â The Houston Aeros have recalled left wing Bill Kinkel from ECHL Pensacola, the teams announced Wednesday. Kinkel has 19 penalty minutes in three games with the Aeros this season. Houston has also signed goaltender Larry Sterling to a professional tryout offer.
Kinkel has totaled four points (3-1=4) and 166 penalty minutes in 29 games with the Ice Pilots, who sport the ECHL's best record. The 6-foot-5, 239-pound native of Buffalo, N.Y., attended training camp with the Aeros but did not play in any pre-season games due to injury. He also missed two months of the ECHL season with an injury.
Sterling went 8-14-2 with a 2.69 gaa in 27 games for CHL Fort Worth this season.
