Suns Powerless in 14-2 Loss at West Virginia

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (63-44/21-17) were on the wrong end of a 14-2 loss against the West Virginia Power (44-64/21-17) at Appalachian Power Park on Monday night.

Suns starter Bobby Hansen, Jr. (2-3) suffered the loss, getting hit for eight runs (four earned) on five hits over five innings. At the plate, first baseman Justin Miller went 2-for-4 with his 10th home run of the season.

Power starting pitcher Zack Dodson (6-6) earned the win, allowing one run on four hits in six innings of work. First baseman Jose Osuna led the Power at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run, his 9th of July and 14th overall. Right fielder Willy Garcia also homered to go along with a triple and two RBIs for the winners.

The Suns and Power will play game two of their series on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. when RHP Taylor Jordan (0-0,5.63) takes the mound for Hagerstown against West Virginia's RHP Robby Rowland (5-3, 3.46).
