Hagerstown Suns News Release
Charleston, WV: Last year it was West Virginia ending the Suns seven game win streak at Appalachian Power Park early in the season, this time the tables were turned as the Suns repaid the favor with a 6-5 win. Joe Holden hit two homeruns, a two-run shot and a solo homer, to pace the Suns 10-hit attack. Grady Hinchman (1-1) received his first win in relief even though he gave up four runs in 2 2/3 innings. German Marte earned his second save in five attempts with a scoreless 1 1/3 to end it.
Hagerstown (20-36) sends RHP Waner Mateo (fresh off a 50 game suspension for violating substance abuse policy) to the hill against LHP David Welch for the Power at 7:05pm on Tuesday. West Virginia follows the Suns back home for three games in two days starting at 7:05pm on Wednesday. For tickets log on to www.hagerstownsuns.com or call the Suns office at 301-791-6266.
