Rome, GA - The Rome Braves return to action at State Mutual Stadium tonight to begin an important five game series against the second place Augusta GreenJackets. Currently Rome leads Augusta by six games in the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League. The home stand is as follows:
Tonight - Game time 7pm
Tuesday - Two for one box seats presented by Gondoliers Pizza and South 107
Wednesday - Double header beginning at 1pm
Thursday - Two for one beverage night
Roster moves: Right-handed pitcher Jeff Lyman has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to Wednesday May 31st. Lyman was 4-0 with a 2.98 ERA in ten appearances this season. Left-hander Carlos Rivas joins the Rome club from extended spring training in Orlando and is slated to start tonight's game. In 2005, Rivas pitched for the Danville Braves of the Appalachian League and was 4-1 with a 4.24 ERA in 13 appearances.
