Hagerstown Suns News Release

The Hagerstown Suns are pleased to announce the release of their very-own iPhone App, giving Suns fans another way to keep up with their favorite team.

The app, released on July 9th in the iTunes store, allows fans to access to team news, stats, facebook and twitter updates throughout the day. Fans will also be able to check real-time weather conditions at Municipal Stadium, all on their iPhone.

"More and more people are relying on their iPhones for more than just staying in touch," said Suns President and General Manager Bob Flannery. "What better way to put information at the tip of our fans fingers?"

The Suns partnered with Richmond, VA based company CTC to design and produce the app.

Fans that want to follow the team, but can't make the game will be able to follow the action with the in-game tracking feature.

"We understand our fans can't always come to every game," said Flannery. "But home or road, we want them to be able to keep up with what's going on around the Suns."

For fans looking to purchase tickets, the Suns iPhone app will allow them to do so with ease. Fans will have the ability to look at up-coming promotions at Municipal Stadium, select their seats and purchase their tickets with just a few touches of the screen.

The app will be free to iPhone users, and can be downloaded in the iTunes app store.

The Hagerstown Suns play at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown, MD and are a Class "A" affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Ticket packages and sponsorships are available by calling the Suns at 301-791-6266. Visit the Suns on the web at www.hagerstownsuns.com. The Suns are owned by Los Angeles based Mandalay Baseball Properties.
