
Suns Eclipse Vipers to Earn Eighth Win of the Season

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (26-13) drop a tough one to Northern Arizona Suns (8-31), 112-117. Michael Frazier knocks down 25 points, Danuel House Jr. earns double-double.
Despite trailing by as many as 11 points early on in the first quarter, the Suns were able to recover and end the first period with a 30-30 draw behind Aaron Epps' nine points. The entire first half of the game resulted in a tight battle as the Vipers ended up in a tie going into the halftime break, 53-53.
RGV was led offensively by Frazier who racked up 11 points before heading into the locker room for the break. Houston Rockets two-way player, House Jr., added on to the offensive effort with nine points of his own and five rebounds. Epps continued to be the pioneer on offense as he scored 13 points, eight rebounds before the half. Retin Obasohan kept pace with 13 points of his own to help the Suns maintain the attacking rhythm.
As the second half of action rolled around, the Vipers came out ready to play some basketball and put up 38 points in the third quarter, routing the Suns who only scored half as many points in the quarter with 19. A spark in the offense sent the Suns into a lethal fourth quarter, this time outscoring the Vipers, 45-21. With the draw at the half and the heavy push at the end, Northern Arizona secured their eighth win of the season by stunning RGV 112-117.
Frazier finalized his stat line with 25 points, five rebounds and three assists. House Jr. locked in a double-double performance as he totaled 16 points, 11 rebounds on the night. Chris Walker was able to make a difference for the Vipers, tallying a double-double with his 10 points, 10 rebounds. Rockets two-way player, Vincent Edwards closed out his night with 11 points, three rebounds and two assists.
For Northern Arizona, Epps scored a career-high 28 points along with 18 rebounds and two blocks as he sealed the deal on a double-double performance. Daxter Miles Jr. tallied 22 points, four rebounds and three steals to help his team get the win.
