Hagerstown Suns News Release
Eastlake, Ohio:The Hagerstown Suns have lost nine games in a row after being shutout 1-0, and held to just one hit on Sunday by the Lake County Captains.
For the second time in as many outings LHP Tom Cowley one-hit the Suns over seven innings, and the Suns were retired 16 men in a row to end it. RHP Waner Mateo got the loss, but pitched well in a spot start for Jeff Landing. The struggling Suns hope to find some magic in the right arm of Bobby Parnell on Monday night at 7:05pm, opposed RHP Jim Deters of Lake County. Even though the Suns are on the road there's fun to be had back in Hagerstown with the 2nd Annual Beer Tasting Festival on Thursday from 6-9pm at Municipal Stadium. There will be live music and over 25 breweries will be serving. For more info call the Suns at 301.791.6266 or log on to www.hagerstownsuns.com.
