Eastlake, OH: The Hagerstown Suns nine game losing streak is history after a well played 5-2 win over the Lake County Captains on Monday night. The Suns (8-16) jumped out to a 3-0 lead on an RBI single by Nick Evans, RBI sac. fly by Drew Butera, and an RBI double by Matt Anderson. They added a run in the second on their first suicide squeze play of the year, Pacheco bunting home Vogl. The pitching triumverate of Bobby Parnell, German Marte, and Kevin Tomasiewicz held the Captains (13-10) to just two runs, one earned, on six hits.
The finale of the four game series in Tuesday at 7:05pm, then the Suns are off to Lexington for four games against the Legends from Wednesday through Saturday. The Suns come back home for a Feed Your Face Monday on the 24th of July. That game starts an eight game homestand against Kannaplois and Asheville, the only time the Suns face those two teams.
