Suns do it again with another comeack win
June 6, 2006 - Southern League (SL1)
Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release
Jacksonville, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns continued their domination of the South Division on Tuesday by erasing a 5-0 deficit to comeback and defeat the Mobile BayBears by the score of 8-6 in front of 4,865 at the Baseball Grounds.
The win combined with the Montgomery loss drops the Jacksonville magic number to clinch the first half South Division title down to two. If the 40-20 Suns defeat Huntsville while Carolina defeats Montgomery on Wednesday, then the Suns will clinch a playoff spot to defend their 2005 Southern League Championship. Jacksonville has won 15 of their last 16 games, the first time since before 1988 (earliest day-by-day records) that a Jacksonville team has accomplished that feat. The Suns have also won 20 of their last 25 outings.
