"Inside Smokies Baseball" returns to VOD

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.- The Tennessee Smokies are pleased to announce that the second episode of "Inside Smokies Baseball" has been posted and is up for viewing on Comcast's Video on Demand service.

Highlights of the second episode include a one-on-one interview with hitting coach Tony Dello conducted by ISB lead broadcaster Chip Kain, a look inside the Smokies box office with Director of Ticket Sales Jeff Stewart and a "behind the scenes" look at what goes into the Smokies Friday Night Fireworks show with the crew from PyroShows.

The Smokies also announced that the second "live-to-tape" broadcast of the Smokies 4-1 victory over the Carolina Mudcats on Sunday, May 28 will be posted to the site by Monday, June 12.

TSTN is a joint-venture between the Smokies, HHGT Video Productions and Comcast cable. Smokies game broadcasts and "Inside Smokies Baseball" can be seen exclusively on Comcast's VOD.

Kain is in his third season of calling Southern League baseball with partner Tom Hart for the Smokies Radio Network. Kain, who has anchored coverage of Lady Vols basketball from the studio for the past three seasons, is also heard on Saturdays as one of the Vol Network's football postgame show hosts, which is broadcast on more than 50 stations, reaching into 28 states. The life-long Tennessean's other broadcast credits include calling the TSSAA Division II State Football Championships as well as college basketball for Roane State and professional basketball for the Tennessee Fury of the NWBL. Kain is also in charge of handling the day-to-day operations of the Tennessee Smokies Baseball Network in 2006.

The Smokies conclude a five-game series in Jackson against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx on Tuesday, June 6 before heading to Mobile to begin another five-game series. The Smokies return home against the Chattanooga Lookouts on Wednesday, June 14.
