Hagerstown;MD, The Suns set a season high for runs Monday night as they scored 13 runs on 16 hits beating Kannapolis 13-1. Deolis Guerra picked up his 4th win of the season and DH Jesus Gamero went 4-4 with 4 RBI.

The Suns (13-17) scored multiple runs in each of the 2nd,3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th innings. Gamero, a late addition to the lineup doubled in the 2nd, hit a long homerun to left in the 4th and singled in each of the 7th and 8th innings. RF Will Vogl had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Suns and 3B Leivi Ventura went 2-4 with 3 runs scored.

Guerra looked good for Hagerstown going 6 innings, allowing 5 hits, k'ing 2 and walking no-one. Eric Domangue pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief and Waner Mateo had a 1-2-3 9th to secure the Suns' 5th win in a row. The Suns have taken 6 of their last 7 and finally beat a team from North Carolina. The Suns are now 1-12 against NC teams.

Tomorrow, the Suns and Kannapolis (10-18) have a quick turn-around as they play their 2nd game of the 4-game series, first pitched is scheduled for 11:05AM as Jonathan Niese straight off his complete game shutout against Lexington last week goes for the Suns.
