
Sundogs Help to Raise 22,973 Pounds of Food During Burning Desire Food Drive

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - After final numbers were tallied, the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League helped to raise nearly 23,000 pounds of food for the Yavapai Food Bank in the 24-hour Burning Desire Food Drive.
Local celebrities, including Burnie the Sundog, were on hand at the Safeway in Prescott Valley for 24 hours to take cash and food donations to benefit the Yavapai Food Bank during the Holiday season.
Donations totaled 22,973 pounds of food, according to Anne Wilson, Yavapai Food Bank Director. The Sundogs donated autographed memorabilia to auction and raffle off during the event.
