PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs welcomed 20 boys and 20 girls to Tim's Toyota Center Thursday afternoon with a V.I.P. behind-the-scenes tour of the arena and toys provided by McWhite's North American Van Lines and the Sundogs' Sponsor-a-Child Giving Tree during McWhite's third annual 'Toys for Kids' promotion.

The 40 children were selected through the Prescott Valley Police Department and Prescott Police Department D.A.R.E. programs. A majority of participants came from single-parent or foster care homes.

"We specifically want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Ed Lepordo and McWhite's for their efforts in making this a very special event for our staff, the Sundogs players, and most importantly the children involved," said Sundogs President Steve Cherwonak. "This program has helped provide us all with a remarkable perspective on what this time of year is truly about."

While on the tour, children were given the chance to sound the goal horn heard inside Tim's Toyota Center during Sundogs home games and were presented with a toy by team mascot Burnie inside the Sundogs Team Store. The tour concluded inside the Sundogs dressing room where players surprised participants with teddy bears and toy trucks provided by McWhite's. The children were given the opportunity spend one-on-one time with the players, get autographs and try on the players' equipment.
