Florence, KY- The Florence Freedom are happy to welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes to Champion Window Field this Sunday, June 17th for its 3rd Annual "Bark in the Park" featuring national entertainer Jake the Diamond Dog.
June 17th is a Kentucky Enquirer Family Sunday where the Freedom welcome Jake the Diamond Dog out to Champion Window Field. While he isn't playing batboy, he is shagging foul balls, taking water to the umpires and even delivering the game ball to the pitcher! Shortly after gates open, fathers and children will be allowed into the outfield for a quick game of catch. Registration will begin Wednesday, June 13th, for one lucky Dad to win a ceremonial first pitch as part of the festivities on Sunday.
Sunday's canine celebration will begin when the gates to Champion Window Field open at 5:05 pm, first pitch is at 6:05 pm. The Florence Freedom will be taking on the Rockford Riverhawks in the second game of a three game series. Come out and enjoy the dog days of summer with your Florence Freedom!
