Burlington, IA (June 15, 2010) - Newcomer Sugar Ray Marimon made his Bees debut a memorable one on Tuesday night, firing six shutout innings in a 2-0 win over the Peoria Chiefs at Community Field.

Marimon (W, 1-0) exhibited superb command of all of his pitches, especially his breaking ball, in giving the Bees six shutout innings to pick up a win and help the Bees snap a season-long seven-game losing skid. The Colombian right-hander allowed only three hits, struck out three, and walked one in his first game action since September.

The Bees offense provided just enough support in the triumph, scoring a run in the fourth on a Jonathon Mota throwing error and an insurance tally in the eighth on Joey Lewis's two-out RBI single with Gerard Hall at second.

Dusty Odenbach, Rodolfo Encarnacion, and Ryan Dennick (S, 2) each pitched in scoreless innings in the Bees' third shutout victory of the year. Dennick pitched a perfect ninth with a pair of strikeouts.

Hall had a pair of doubles in the win, and Wil Myers picked up two singles.

The Bees close out the nine-game homestand on Kids Eat Free Wednesday. All kids 12 and under will receive a free hot dog and a drink, and the Bees will go for the series win at 6:30. Help us celebrate the Bees' final home game of the first half at Community Field tomorrow night.
