May 15, 2024 - Atlantic League (AtL)
Lancaster Stormers News Release
The Lancaster Stormers added to their bullpen on Tuesday with the addition of right- hander Kyle Johnson, it was announced by manager Ross Peeples.
Johnson, 30, pitched briefly for the Stormers in 2021. The native of San Diego appeared in seven games, including one as a starter. He went 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA as a Stormer.
The Chicago Cubs signed him for the next season. He made 32 appearances with Class AA Tennessee and two at Class AAA Iowa where he notched a win and did not allow a run.
Last year, he pitched for the Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association. Johnson appeared in six games.
Prior to coming originally to Lancaster, Johnson pitched in the New York Yankees organization.
"Kyle is a guy we know, and we are short on pitching right now," said Peeples. "He has a good arm and has grown as a pitcher. We wanted to give him this chance."
