This Week's Opponents

Sacramento: The Storm and Monarchs will meet this week for the first time in the regular season after the Storm cruised to an 84-66 preseason win at KeyArena on May 11. Playing without All-Stars Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson, Seattle got a big contribution from Ashley Robinson as the reserve pitched in seven points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and six blocks. The Storm dropped three of four meetings with the Monarchs last season after winning the season series in both 2004 and 2005. Sacramento holds a 15-9 lead all-time.

Minnesota: Seattle swept the three-game set against Minnesota last summer and has won five straight against the Lynx dating to 2005. The current five-game streak against the Lynx matches the Storm franchise record for consecutive wins against an opponent, first set between 2001-04 when the Storm beat the Sun five straight times. The Storm cruised to the first two victories last season before winning a nail-biter in Minneapolis on Aug. 1 as Betty Lennox gave the Storm the lead for good on a three-pointer with 18 seconds to play. Seattle holds a narrow 12-11 edge in the all-time series.

Storm Host ‘Girls Night Out' at KeyArena

The Storm will host "Girls Night Out" at their game this Saturday when they host the Minnesota Lynx at 7 p.m. Fans can enjoy live music at the MGD Main Stage beginning at 6 p.m., prize packages given away throughout the night to lucky ladies in attendance, and a special $20 "Girls Night Out" ticket package that includes a lower-level seat and a beverage inside KeyArena. The first 75 fans to show their Discover Card or sign up for the new WNBA Affinity Card at the Discover Card table located inside KeyArena's East entrance on Saturday will receive a VIP pass to attend this exclusive post-game event in KeyArena's FSN HD Lounge.
