Sacramento Monarchs Host Reading Time Out at Local Elementary School

WHO: Sacramento Monarchs players Rebekkah Brunson and Adrian Williams, students from Hagginwood Elementary's CORAL (Communities Organizing Resources to Advance Learning) after school program

WHAT: As part of the WNBA's Read to Achieve campaign, Sacramento Monarchs players Rebekkah Brunson and Adrian Williams will visit Hagginwood Elementary School to read a book and interact with young students. The students are part of Hagginwood Elementary's CORAL after school program. Rebekkah and Adrian will first read with children in the primary grades and then read with children in the intermediate grades. The players will also answer questions from the students and each child will receive a free book.

Read to Achieve is a year-round campaign to help young people develop a lifelong love for reading and encourage adults to read regularly with children. Reaching an estimated 50 million children a year, Read to Achieve is the most extensive educational outreach initiative in the history of professional sports.
