Storm Sign Defenseman Brett Angel

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have signed defenseman Brett Angel to a contract.

Angel, the native of Kingston, ON, played 16 games with Muskegon of the United Hockey League earlier this year collecting 1 assist and 54 penalty minutes. The 6 foot 6, 230 pound defenseman appeared in 4 games last season with Grand Rapids in the American Hockey League. Brett also played in 55 UHL games between Elmira and Muskegon notching 288 penalty minutes and 7 assists. Angel is a former 3rd round pick of the Nashville Predators in the 1999 NHL entry Draft.
