
Ice Pilots lose another to Bridgeport as road trip continues tonight

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL announced today (Thursday) that goaltender Michael Mole has been called up to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Mole is expected to be in uniform for the Sound Tigers when the team returns to action on Friday night. The move was made due to the recurrence of an injury to New York Islanders goaltender Rick DiPietro.
On Tuesday, the Ice Pilots lost forward Sergei Ogorodnikov to also to Bridgeport.
The Pensacola Ice Pilots continue their final road trip of the season tonight (Thursday) when they take on the Charlotte Checkers for a second straight time at Bobcat Arena in Charlotte North Carolina.
The two teams met on Tuesday night where the Checkers fired four goals in the first period and went on to a 5-2 victory over the Ice Pilots.
Goaltender Adam Geragosian will make his second professional start for Pensacola. He returned to the team after leaving for a family emergency. The Ice Pilots are expected to have Dan Sullivan back in the line-up as he returns from his two-game suspension. It will be prior to game time whether forward Torry Gadja and defenseman Nate Metcalf will also make it back to the line-up after suffering injuries on Tuesday.
Fans can tune into the game on Classic Country AM1620, beginning with Ice Pilots Countdown to face-off at 5:45 pm. Denis J. Puska has all of the play-by-play action upcoming at 6 pm. Video coverage is provided by the B2 Networks and a high speed Internet connection is required in order to view the game.
Hockey returns to The Hangar on Sunday when the Ice Pilots host their state rivals the Florida Everblades at 6:05 pm. The first 750 fans through the doors will receive a complete set of Ice Pilots trading cards courtesy of OZONE PIZZA.
