
Storm Set to Host Stampede in Kearney

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm is set to host the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Viaero Center tonight in Kearney following last weekend's two-game home sweep over the Sioux City Musketeers. Tri-City has won the first three games of this year's series against Sioux Falls, and will host the Stampede tonight at the Viaero Center for the first time this season. Tickets for tonight's battle are still available, and may be purchased by visiting www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop for the matchup is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.

Tri-City (22-16-2-3) has collected points in the USHL's Western Conference standings in five consecutive games for the first time this season following last weekend's two-game sweep of the Sioux City Musketeers. The Storm has posted a 6-3-1-0 record over the last ten games, and the team currently trails the Lincoln Stars by four points for 3rd place in the Western Conference standings. Tri-City has won ten of the last twelve regular season matchups against Sioux Falls entering this weekend's home series at the Viaero Center. The Storm is 19-7-1-0 in head-to-head battles against the Stampede over the past five seasons. Scoring leaders for Tri-City through the first forty-three games of the 2022-2023 regular season include Jake Richard (22), Evan Werner (14), Graham Gamache (13), Trevor Connelly (12), Kieran Cebrian (11), and August Falloon (11). The Storm will return to action next weekend with consecutive road games against the Des Moines Buccaneers following this weekend's home series against the Stampede.
Sioux Falls (18-21-4-3) has won three out of their last ten games, but enters this weekend's road series against Tri-City at the Viaero Center on a brief two-game winning streak. The Stampede posted a two-game weekend sweep of the Lincoln Stars last weekend in a home and home series. Sioux Falls' Ryan Gordon netted the game-winning goal in last Saturday's 4-2 road win over Lincoln at the Ice Box. The Stampede is 4-9-0-0 in head-to-head matchups played against Tri-City at the Viaero Center over the last five years. Scoring leaders for Sioux Falls entering tonight's road game in Kearney include Samuel Harris (22), Isaac Gordon (13), Nick Ring (12), Maddox Fleming (10), and Chris Pelosi (10). The Stampede currently trails the Storm by six points in the Western Conference standings.
