
Storm Set to Honour Remarkable Achievement by Voice of Team

(Guelph) The Guelph Storm will honour Larry Mellott, their long-time radio voice on Friday night prior to their home game. On Sunday night in Barrie, Larry Mellott called his 1,000th Guelph Storm game.
The voice of the Storm on 1460 CJOY, Larry has enjoyed a long and successful broadcasting career that includes every Guelph Storm regular season and post-season game since the beginning of the 1994-95 season. Mellott's Storm experience also includes Memorial Cups in 1996 (Peterborough), 1998 (Spokane), 2002 (Guelph) and 2004 (Kelowna).
On behalf of the Storm, 1460 CJOY and their fans, the hockey club will honour Larry before Friday night's home game versus the Toronto St. Michael's Majors.
