
McCollum Grand & Toy Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced that goaltender Thomas McCollum is the Grand & Toy Player of the Week for the week of December 25th - December 31st.
The rookie netminder won two of three starts during the week with a goals against average of 1.30 and a save percentage of 0.957. McCollum also notched his second shutout of the season in a 3 -0 white wash of the OHL's top team, the Barrie Colts on Sunday night. The Sanborn, New York native also collected an assist on the winning goal in Sunday's road win.
McCollum becomes the eighth different Storm player to earn Grand & Toy Player of the Week honours and will also be the Guelph Storm nominee for OHL Player of the Week.
Not eligible for the NHL Draft until the 2008 Draft, McCollum is currently ranked second in the OHL with a 2.40 goals against average, sixth in save percentage (0.917) and third in shutouts (two).
