
Colts Make a Deal with the Windsor Spitfires

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announced they have made a deal with the Windsor Spitfires involving three players plus draft-picks.
The Colts sent 17-year old defenseman Blake Parlett plus their own 2nd Round Picks in 2008 and 2010 in exchange for 19-year old defenseman Mike Weber, 17-year old forward Thomas Battani and Belleville's 5th Round Pick in 2007, currently owned by Windsor.
Weber, a 6.02, 205-pound native of Pittsburgh, PA and current draft-pick of the Buffalo Sabres joins the Colts after he recorded three goals to go along with 16 assists and 86 penalty minutes in 30 games this season as the captain of the Spitfires. Currently in his fourth season in the OHL, Weber has appeared in 231 career games and recorded ten goals to go along with 45 assists and 448 penalty minutes.
The Colts also acquire 17-year old forward Thomas Battani who was the Spitfires' 2nd Round Pick (27th overall) in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection. The 6.01, 188-pound native of Armada, MI has appeared in 30 games as a rookie this season with the Spitfires, and recorded three goals to go along with three assists and 21 penalty minutes.
Parlett, 17, was originally Barrie's 1st Round Pick (15th overall) in the 2005 OHL Priority Selection. After registering two assists in 38 games last season as a rookie, he has recorded one goal to go along with five assists in 36 games this season.
