Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm dropped the opening game of the weekend to the Fargo Force Friday night at the Viaero Center by a final score of 5-2. Kieran Cebrian and Mark Estapa scored the Storm's goals in the loss. Tri-City returns to action tomorrow night in another home game against Fargo. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Tristan Broz netted the opening goal of the game at 3:57 of the 1st period to give Fargo a 1-0 lead. At 9:09 of the period, Tri-City's Kieran Cebrian scored his 1st Career USHL Goal to tie the game at 1-1. Isac Jonsson and Josh Eernisse recorded assists on the scoring play. Eernisse's assist was his 1st career assist and 1st career point in the USHL. Fargo's Ryan Siedem scored a goal with less than 3 minutes to play in the period to give the Force another lead in the game. Siedem's goal was netted at 17:33 of the 1st period and was assisted by Casey McDonald. Jake Braccini scored at 18:26 of the 1st period to increase Fargo's lead to two goals. Braccini's goal was assisted by Owen Gallatin. Tri-City outshot Fargo 13-9 in the 1st period but trailed 3-1 entering the 2nd period.

In the 2nd period, Fargo continued its offensive production with two additional goals in the game. Jake Braccini scored his 2nd goal of the game and 3rd goal of the season at 10:33 of the 2nd period to give Fargo a 4-1 lead. The goal was assisted by Austin Wong and Matt Crasa. Tri-City goaltender Grant Riley was replaced by Todd Scott after recording 9 saves on 13 shots. Nick Strom scored the final goal of the 2nd period to give Fargo a 5-1 advantage entering the 3rd period. Erik Bargholtz and Grant Slukynsky recorded the assists on the goal. Tri-City outshot Fargo 9-5 in the 2nd period but trailed by four goals entering the 3rd period.

Mark Estapa scored the only goal of the 3rd period on a goal assisted by Vinny Borgesi and Nicholas Donato. The goal was scored at 2:16 of the 3rd period. Tri-City outshot Fargo 8-5 in the 3rd period and 30-19 overall but fell by a final score of 5-2 Friday night at the Viaero Center. Todd Scott finished the game with 5 saves on 6 shots.

A limited amount of tickets are available for tomorrow's game against the Fargo Force. Seating capacity at the Viaero Center will be limited to 25%. Fans wishing to attend the game are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online or at the Viaero Center Box Office in advance. Masks are required to enter the arena, while walking on the concourse, in the restrooms, and while in line at the concession stands. Although masks are not required once you are sitting down in the seats, the Tri-City Storm & the Viaero Center strongly recommend masks are worn while seated.
