Storm Defeat Barnstormers

DES MOINES - The Sioux Falls Storm (5-4) won, 77-26, over the Iowa Barnstormers (1-8) at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, May 26.
The game started off with a Storm rushing touchdown by running back Xavier Jackson, PAT was successful by Nick Gauna, 7-0. Quarterback Lorenzo Brown Jr. then found wide receiver Donnie Corley Jr. in the endzone, extended their lead to 14-0. Storm special team unit then blocked Barnstormers kicker Gabriel Rui field goal attempt.
The Storm offense continued to put points on the board. Jackson charged in for his second touchdown of the night, 21-0. The Barnstormers responded with a rushing touchdown by running back Antonio Wimbush, PAT was unsuccessful by kicker Gabriel Rui, 21-6. Jackson then found the endzone for the third time, 28-6. Storm kept on going when wide receiver Draysean Hudson ran it in, 35-6. Brown Jr. then threw a deep pass to Hudson in the endzone that made the score 42-6.
The third quarter started off hot with another Brown Jr. and Corley touchdown, 49-6. Barnstormer Quarterback Zach Reader then found wide receiver Caleb Smith, two-point conversion was successful, 49-14. Brown Jr. threw a pass to Jackson to extend Storm lead, 56-14. Reader then rushed it in for a touchdown, two-point conversion unsuccessful, 56-20. Brown Jr. then connected with Corley once again, 63-20
The Storm offense kept on rolling. Quarterback Seth Collins connected with Corley in the back of the endzone, increased the Storm lead 70-20. Barnstormers responded with a Wimbush rushing touchdown, two-point conversion unsuccessful, 70-26. Collins then connected to Jalen James, extending their lead to 77-26.
