Preview: Fighters vs. Strike Force

Frisco, TX - The Frisco Fighters enter week nine 7-1 after falling to the Bay Area Panthers 55-60. The team returns home to Comerica Center after being on the road for the last two games and will celebrate Military Appreciation Night against the San Diego Strike Force.

The Fighters are led by head coach Billy Back, who continues to hold the number one spot in the IFL coaches' poll for the eighth week in a row.

Time/Location: 7:05 p.m. CT/Comerica Center

PAST MEETUPS - FIGHTERS V STRIKE FORCE

This will be the first time the Frisco Fighters and the San Diego Strike Force will play each other. Strike Force are currently 3-5, falling to the Quad City Steamwheelers (47-49), the Tucson Sugar Skulls (16-35), the Northern Arizona Wranglers (9-48), the Bay Area Panthers (51-54), and the Green Bay Blizzard (50-61)

PLAYERS TO WATCH

A player to watch every week is quarterback TJ Edwards. Edwards leads the league in scoring and touchdowns. Edwards has scored 24 touchdowns and averages 18.3 points per game.

Another player to watch this week is running back Martez Carter. Carter made his debut with the Fighters in the March 20th game against the Bay Area Panthers, scoring two touchdowns.

Final player to watch this week is Jordan Jolly. Jolly is a diverse player for the Fighters, playing wide receiver, on special teams, and serves as a back-up quarterback.
