
Storm and Skyline Raise Over $13,000 for Movember

For the past month members of the Storm and employees at Skyline have been sporting an extra bit of facial hair in support of Movember. What started off as a friendly MO growing competition, turned into something lucrative for men's health. Together, the Storm and Skyline raised over $13,000 during the month of November for men's health.
Thanks to all of your donations, the Storm finished 5th among all 59 CHL teams. Storm defenceman Zac Leslie was second among all OHL players raising close to $1,200 alone. Overall, the Canadian Hockey league raised an astonishing $123,330.

The CHL invited all member clubs to participate in this event. Players were registered with their clubs under the CHL platform on movember.com and raised sponsorship dollars by growing and grooming their moustache and encouraging monetary donations through family, friends, fans, and local sponsors.
Each player on their team was be ranked and each team as a collective was be ranked throughout the CHL. Teams competed for the top spot in fundraising dollars and the winner will be presented with a special Movember trophy.

The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and men's health partner, Prostate Cancer Canada. Together the two channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
In 2010, more than 450,000 "Mo Bros" and "Mo Sistas" came together as Citizens of Movember around the world raising more than $75 million for Movember's global men's health partners.
Last year in Canada 118,928 "Mo Bros" and "Mo Sistas" raised over $22.4 million for Prostate Cancer Canada.
