
Knights Defeat Spirit 6-0 in London

On Friday night, the Saginaw Spirit were defeated by the London Knights by the score of 6-0 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario.
London got on the scoreboard 4 minutes and 48 seconds into the hockey game with a goal from Seth Griffith, his 18th goal of the season. Three minutes later, London would get another past Spirit goaltender Tadeas Galansky, this time from Dane Fox, assists going to Ryan Rupert and Tommy Hughes.
London's Max Domi would put the Knights up 3-0 early in the second period on the power play. Assists on the Domi goal would go to Seth Griffith and Jared Knight. Griffith would continue to hurt the Spirit, scoring his second goal of the night at the 5:32 mark. Following the Griffith goal, Jake Paterson would be brought in to take over the goaltending duties for the Spirit. At the 6:15 mark Ryan Rupert would score his ninth goal of the year to put the Knights up 5-0, and they would hold that lead heading to the second intermission.
London would add one more goal on the power play early in the third period as Jared Knight would record his fourteenth goal of the year to put the Knights up 6-0 over the Spirit. Spirit goaltenders Tadeas Galansky and Jake Paterson would combine to make 32 saves in net for the Spirit.
