Stop the presses: Aces are NE League's hottest team
August 5, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
The Aces took control in the first third of the game and never looked back, as they cruise to an 8-3 win. Aces' outfielder Chad Gambill hit a two-run homerun in the first, shortstop Dalphie Correa hit an RBI single in the second and second baseman, Mike Davis hit a two-run double in the third.
Combine this with Aces' DH, Eddie Gerald's two-run bomb in the fifth and an RBI single later, and the Pioneers were in a hole the could not climb out of. Elmira starter, Chris Zallie, got his sixth loss of the season, going four and a third innings, allowing seven runs and twelve hits.
