
Stockton Kings Win Thrid Straight at Home against Northern Arizona Suns

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (24-15), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, pulled off a win against the Northern Arizona Suns (9-32), the NBA G League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns, with a score of 114-113 in a thrilling game which came down to the final seconds. Despite Northern Arizona leading most of the game, Stockton finished the night with their third-straight home win. Stockton guard Cody Demps led all scorers with 32 points, three rebounds and four assists.
In the first half, four players scored in double-figures for Stockton - including Demps who score 18 of his 32 points, and forward Taren Sullivan grabbed 11 of his 15 rebounds. The teams were in a tight before heading into halftime with the Northern Arizona Suns ahead 56-55.
Northern Arizona led most of the game and saw their biggest lead at the 13-minute mark in the third quarter, when they led Stockton 89-79. Stockton brought the score to a tie at 92 each with 8:40 remaining in regulation. The Suns had the final possession of the game down by one point, with 20 seconds remaining but were unable to score.
Three Stockton players finished the night with 15+ rebounds to help the Kings outrebound the Suns 58-38. Center Daniel Ochefu posted 26 points, 17 rebounds and three assists with center Caleb Swanigan jopining Swanigan in having 15 rebounds.
Seven players posted double-figures for the Suns. Forward George King led the Suns with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
The Stockton Kings will continue their home stretch on Tuesday, February 26, when they will host the Texas Legends at 7 p.m. This game can be viewed via ESPN+. On Thursday, February 28, Stockton will host "Legends Night" to honor Sacramento Kings greats, as they play the South Bay Lakers at 7 p.m. Former Sacramento Kings players Vlade Divac, Doug Christie and Bobby Jackson will be in
attendance. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Kings Legends bobblehead. Stockton will debut throwback Kings jerseys from Sacramento's 2001-02 season. This game can be viewed via ESPN+.
