LAST TIME OUT
On February 22, 2019, the Westchester Knicks (24-17), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, went up by as many as 17 points before settling on a 120-106 final over the Grand Rapids Drive (19-20), Friday evening at Westchester County Center.
The Knicks were led by Jameel Warney who poured in 23 points on 62.5-percent shooting. He also hauled a team-high 12 boards and dished eight assists on the night.
Two-Way player Kadeem Allen scored 20 points in his first game back since January 26. He tied a game-high 10 assists. Two-Way player Isaiah Hicks netted 18 points and is now averaging 19.0 points in his two-game transfer to Westchester. He also raised for four blocks. Billy Garrett came away with 20 points.
Marcus Thornton tallied 28 points for Grand Rapids. Adam Woodbury finished with 16 points and a game-high 17 rebounds. Kenneth Smith had 24 points.
The game endured 15 lead changes and saw seven deadlocked scores. While the Knicks went up by as many as 17 points, the Drive only held an advantage as big five.
Westchester has won two straight and four of its last five games.
LAST MEETING
On December 11, the Westchester Knicks (12-5), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, struggled to hit shots and saw the Lakeland Magic (7-7) come away, 115-91.
The loss becomes Westchester's second-straight marking the first time this season the Knicks were unable to tab a victory following a setback (previously 3-0).
New York Knicks guard Courtney Lee was on assignment from the club and in his first G League contest, tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists. He was 7-of-21 from the field and 1-for-9 from downtown in a near 31-minute showing.
John Jenkins led Westchester with 19 points and was the lone Knick to net more than one three. The team shot just 14.3-percent from distance (4-of-28) which marked a season low.
On the other side of the ball, the Magic drained 17 triples for 37-percent led by four from Gabe York. York led all with 25 points while Amile Jefferson concluded with a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds.
The Knicks got off to a slow start scoring just 19 points in the first quarter and ended the first half with just 39 points on the board. The Knicks scored only fewer against Windy City (November 27). The Knicks' 52-point performance in the second half was more reminiscent of its season production.
The Magic even out the series with Westchester. The Knicks beat Lakeland on November 10, 125-104, behind a 41-point performance from Jenkins.

Jameel Warney is averaging 22.5 points per game in his last four games. He is also averaging 9.5 rebounds per game. He has scored 20-plus points four consecutive times one time this season as a Westchester Knick.
BULKING UP BAULKMAN
Devon Baulkman has scored double-figures in four of his last five games and five in his last seven games. In the three-game window spanning from 2/8-2/12, Baulkman was averaging 17.7 points per game (third-best on the team) on 45.7-percent shooting. He shot 62.5-percent against Grand Rapids (2/22) to get 12 points which his first time shooting 60-percent since Long Island (2/9) when he netted 18 points.
KADEEM KORNER
In his first game back with the Westchester Knicks, after missing most of February with the New York Knicks, Kadeem Allen scored 17 points and dished a game-high 10 assists against Grand Rapids (2/22). It was his eighth straight game scoring double-figures (only includes Westchester) and he is now averaging 8.2 assists per game in his last six with Westchester. He has distributed 10 or more assists four times this season.
DUB HICKS
Isaiah Hicks scored 20 points on 58.3-percent shooting on his first game back with Westchester after being transferred to the New York Knicks for the five Westchester games prior. In the calendar year, Hicks has appeared in six games and is averaging 17.4 points on 45.7-percent shooting. He has hit eleven threes on 34.4-percent shooting, is averaging 6.6 rebounds and has a team-leading 17 total blocks.
SHOT STOPPER
Isaiah Hicks rejected four Grand Rapids (2/22) shots which is the most since he raised for four rejections against Lakeland (12/11). His season-high stands at five which was tabbed against Windy City (11/27).
CONTROLLING THE OFFENSE Kadeem Allen's 214 assists this season (33/41 games played) accounts for 22.2-percent of the team's total helpers. Billy Garrett accounts for 15.2-percent of the team's assists numbers.
LIVING OFF THE LIVE TWO BALL
Zak Irvin has only made 25 free-throws this season which is the second-fewest by a Knick, who is currently with the team and has made at least one free-throw, this season. Devon Baulkman has hit 20 this season. Irvin has gotten to the line 40 times and is shooting just 62.6-percent from the stripe. Irvin has only hit one three-pointer this season. Stephen Zimmerman and Buay Tuach are the only other two Knicks, who are currently with the team, to hit just as many. This in turn means that of Irvin's 302 points this season, 274 of them have come off the live two-ball (90.7-percent).
SPOTTY SEKOU
After putting up 20 points against Canton (2/8), Sekou Wiggs averaged 3.0 points on 11.8-percent shooting from 2/9-2/12. His 20 point-performance followed another two-game span where he also shot 11.8-percent and scored 2.3 points per game. He put up 13 points against Maine which marked the first time in three games and third time in seven games to that point. He scored just once against Grand Rapids (2/22).
HICKS FOR THREE Isaiah Hicks drained three three-pointers against Grand Rapids (2/22) which marked the most triples since he drilled a career-high four against Delaware (1/19).
JUST BECAUSE YOU GOT TO 100
Westchester has scored 100-plus points 30 times this season and has pulled out 21 wins. Its opponents have scored 100 points or more 25 times this season and only won 12 of those games.
PROLIFIC SHOOTING
When the Knicks shoot better than 50-percent from the floor, Westchester is 11-1. The last time the team shot that well (53.4%) came against Grand Rapids (2/22) which resulted in a win.
WATSON ON THE BOARDS
Paul Watson grabbed double-digit rebounds was when he secured 10 against the Windy City Bulls on March 16, 2018. He hauled 10 against Capital City on February 12, 2019 which accompanied a double-double, his only one of the season. Since, Watson has averaged 4.5 rebounds in a two-game span.
WARNEY THE FLOOR GENERAL
Jameel Warney is averaging 7.5 assists in Westchester's last two. His eight dimes against Grand Rapids (2/22) tied his career-high. In Kadeem's Allen's transfer absence and Allen's one game back, Warney is the team's second-leading dime distributor, dishing 4.6 assists per game.
STREAKIN'
Billy Garrett is riding an 11-game streak scoring double-figures. He's shot better than 50-percent in five of those games. He is currently riding a seven-game streak of scoring 20 or more points.
Zak Irvin is riding an eight-game streak scoring double-figures. He is averaging 15.4 points per game (third-best with all eight games played) in the span on a 56-percent shooting clip.
PUTTIN' UP POINTS
From 2/8-2/12, Billy Garrett was averaging 30.0 points in three games which is the third-most by a Knick this season. John Jenkins averaged 32.0 points per game in a three-game span that included Fort Wayne (12/13), Grand Rapids (12/15) and Iowa (12/19). Jenkins also averaged 33.0 points in a three-game span from 11/6-11/14 and from 11/10-11/16. The window from 11/10-11/16 is a consecutive three-game streak as Jenkins missed the game on 11/8.
WARNEY VS. WARNEY
Before Grand Rapids (2/22) Jameel Warney was averaging 15.8 points this season on 49.8-percent shooting which included his tenure with the Texas Legends. As a Knick, Warney is averaging 19.1 points on 56.1-percent shooting.

Westchester's 15 made three-pointers against Capital City (2/12) were the most by the team since the Knicks drained 15 against Erie (11/18). The team's high stands at 17 which was tabbed against Lakeland (11/10). Through the three games prior to Capital City (2/12), the team was averaging just 8.3 made three-pointers.

On February 11, 2019, the Westchester Knicks acquired Parker Jackson-Cartwright from the available player pool and waived Kevin Olekaibe.
Jackson-Cartwright, 5'11, 170, joined the Westchester Knicks by the way of Raptors 905. The Raptors drafted Jackson-Cartwright in the second round of the 2018 NBA G League Draft.
TEAM SCORING Westchester is averaging 120.3 points per game in its last three games before the NBA All-Star Break. At that point, the team was averaging 106.8 points this season. The team went 2-1 in the span.
POINT BLANK RANGE Westchester scored 68 points in the paint against Maine (2/20) which was two points shy of its season high. The club scored 70 points against Fort Wayne (12/13) which also resulted in a win. The 68 points scored against Maine accounted for 62.3-percent of the team's offense. In its last five games, the team's points in the paint have accounted for 48.8-percent (288-of-590) of the team's offense.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
On February 11, Billy Garrett was named the NBA G League Player of the Week as announced by the league Monday afternoon. In a 2-0 week for Westchester, Garrett averaged a team-leading 30.0 points on 51.2-percent shooting, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.5 steals and drained four triples.
SUCCESS STORY
On February 21, 2019, the New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed John Jenkins of the Westchester Knicks (23-17). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jenkins, 6-4, 215, originally signed a 10-day contract with New York on February 11 and has appeared in two games, averaging 10.5 points on 50-percent shooting, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 17.5 minutes. In the team's win at Atlanta on February 14, Jenkins recorded 14 points, five rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes. Jenkins is the seventh Westchester Knicks player to earn a call-up and sign with New York.
With Westchester this season, Jenkins started each of the 19 games he appeared in averaging a team-high 24.8 points per game on 47-percent shooting. The guard also drained 62 triples this season on 42.5-percent and was a 92.8-percent free-throw shooter. His line also included averages of 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals and a pair of 40-point performances.
