Four power play goals, and a third period hat trick from forward David Pacan earned the South Carolina Stingrays a 6-3 win over the Orlando Solar Bears last Tuesday day at the Amway Center. South Carolina's power play, which had scored only five times in 64 attempts entering last Tuesday's game, struck three times in the second period alone. The Stingrays fired a season high 40 shots, and scored a season-high six goals in the win.
November 28: South Carolina at Orlando, 2-1 W
Goaltender Vitek Vanecek stopped 32 shots and Joey Leach had a goal and an assist to lead the South Carolina Stingrays to a 2-1 win at the Amway Center in Orlando last Saturday night. The victory was the Stingrays third straight win, and second consecutive win over Orlando. Paul Rodrigues, in only his second game with the Stingrays, also had a goal and an assist in the victory.

FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED
When the Stingrays hold a lead through two periods of play, they are 10-0-0 on the season. South Carolina has held one goal leads heading into the third period in each of its past two games against Orlando. The club is also a strong 8-0-2 on the season when scoring the game's first goal.
NEW FACES JOIN RAYS
With forward Austin Fyten and defenseman Tyler Lewington called up to join the Hershey Bears of the AHL, the Stingrays added a pair of new players to the roster. Last Friday, the club added forward Louis Belisle and defenseman Ryan Ruikka. Belisle, 24, rejoins the Stingrays after appearing in one preseason game with the club. He started the regular season with the Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), scoring 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 11 games. Ruikka, a native of Chelsea, Michigan, started the season with the Wichita Thunder, appearing in 11 games and registering one assist. He moved stateside after spending two seasons overseas in Finland and France. Both made their debuts against Orlando last Saturday.
VANECEK SHINES
With his victory over Orlando on Saturday, rookie goaltender Vitek Vanecek earned his fifth win of the season. In the month of November, the Czech-born goaltender is 4-2-1 with a 1.26 goals against average and a .946 save percentage. He also won the ECHL Goaltender of the Week Award for the week of November 9-16. He stopped a season-high 32 shots in Saturday's win over Orlando.
