Nailers Reveal Jerseys for Star Wars Night

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have revealed their jerseys for Star Wars Night, which will take place on Saturday, December 5th at 7:35.
This year, the Nailers are hosting their third annual Star Wars Night, and this one will be better than the previous two combined. For the third straight season, Star Wars characters will be making a special visit to WesBanco Arena to meet fans and taking pictures in the main concourse. To help celebrate the occasion, the Nailers will also be giving out t-shirts to the first 2,000 fans through the gates.
During the game, the Nailers will take the ice in special Star Wars jerseys, modeled after the Storm troopers. The jersey has a white base with black trim, featuring Star Wars markings on the front and sleeves of the sweater. The numbers and letters are black, with a gold outline, and are written in a special font for this particular night. Wheeling's traditional shield logo can be found on the center crest, in addition to the circle with the words "Wheeling Nailers" written in Easterly font. The logos of OVMC/EORH and Donate Life can be found at the top of the uniforms, as they are the presenting sponsors of the night.
The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game in a silent auction in the front lobby of the arena. The auction will end at the start of the 3rd period. Proceeds from the auction will go to OVMC/EORH and Donate Life. Any jersey not auctioned off during the game will be available on eBay the following week.
December 5th will also be Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used teddy bear to throw onto the ice, when the Nailers score their first goal of the game. The bears will be collected and donated to local charities, so that children in the Ohio Valley can have a happy holiday season.
