QUACK TRACKS
Streaking
The Mallards have won three straight games to climb into first place in the Midwest Division. Their current winning streak is the Mallards' longest this season.
Tops
The Mallards moved into a tie for first place in the Midwest Division with Cincinnati by defeating the Cyclones 2-1 last Saturday night. The Mallards took over sole possession of the top spot with yesterday's win over Indy. While the Mallards enter tomorrow night's game with a two point lead over the Cyclones, Cincinnati does have four games in hand on the Mallards.
Rally
The Mallards staged a remarkable late comeback on the way to yesterday's 3-2 overtime win over Indy. The Mallards scored twice in 19 seconds in the final half minute of regulation to erase a 2-0 deficit and force sudden death. Anthony Collins scored the first Mallard goal with 30 seconds left in the third period; Matt Neal tied the score with just 11 seconds remaining. Austin Coldwell then scored the winner at 4:14 of overtime.
Busy
Tomorrow's game is the Mallards' fifth in seven days. They are also in the midst seven games in ten days and eight games in 12 days. The Mallards played three games in as many days each of the last two weekends.
Home Sweet Home
The Mallards have won eight straight home games and are unbeaten in regulation (10-0-1) in 11 home games since dropping their home opener October 23 against Tulsa. Their current home winning streak is the Mallards' longest since they won 11 straight United Hockey League games at home between January 25 and February 29, 2004. Their current home regulation unbeaten streak is the Mallards' longest since they went 18 straight UHL home games (15-0-3) without a regulation defeat between January 10 and March 13, 2004.
Perfect 10
The Mallards lead the ECHL in home wins (10).
Rough Road
The Mallards have tied a team record by going winless (0-6-2) in eight road games since winning their season opener in Allen October 16. The Mallards first went winless in eight straight road games (0-4-4) between November 9 and December 5 last year. The Mallards have suffered five straight regulation road losses and are one road defeat away from matching the team record for longest road losing streak set when they dropped six consecutive away games between November 5 and December 10, 2004.
Three in Three
The Mallards are 3-0-0 this season when playing their third game in three days. They defeated Indy each of the last two Sundays to cap off three-game weekends after closing out their first stretch of three games in three days by beating Wichita 5-2 on October 25.

Steve Michalek is on a four-game winning streak during which he has stopped 124 of 130 shots to post a 1.49 goals against average and a .954 save percentage. Michalek ranks seventh in the ECHL in save percentage (.927).
