
Stingrays Weekly: 2-For-1 Tickets vs. Defending Kelly Cup Champions Wednesday

The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Evansville IceMen and the Toledo Walleye at the North Charleston Coliseum Friday and Saturday for a week record of 2-0-0-0.
Friday marked the first time in team history the Stingrays welcomed the IceMen to the Coliseum and skated away with a 5-2 victory. Forward Robby Dee registered a hat trick and forward Matt Beca added four points (one goal, three assists) in the win.
The Stingrays continued their winning ways Saturday with a 3-0 shutout over the Walleye, snapping their six-game winning streak. Forwards Hunter Bishop and Phil Mangan each recorded a goal and an assist and goaltender Jeff Jakaitis grabbed his first shutout of the season stopping all 30 Walleye shots.

Taking the Lead
The Stingrays are fourth in the South Division with 54 points and ninth overall in the Eastern Conference.
Goaltender Ryan Zapolski is first in the ECHL with a 1.93 goals-against average, a .930 save percentage and four shutouts.
Defenseman Tommy Cross, currently with the Providence Bruins (AHL), is third among ECHL defensemen with a shooting percentage of 14.6 (six goals on 41 shots).
